‘Here’s one we made earlier’ the phrase heard 1000s of times on a popular long running kids tv show – well we could say the same thing about this particular Brazilian Kamper. In our former guise as VW Kampers, we converted a number of 2011 VW Kombis that we’d imported direct from Brazil. We lavished them with options and built them to a very high standard. Here’s your opportunity to own one of these exclusive VW campers.
Left hand drive as Volkswagen intended, this pristine low mileage Kombi is fitted with electric power steering, making low speed manoeuvres a breeze. The Duck Egg paintwork under white gives this Kamper a classic look, yet its lowered suspension and chrome EMPI style alloy wheels add a contemporary edge to its character.
The custom vinyl upholstery and interior panelling work beautifully with the Vanwurks furniture units to create an inviting cabin. We were proud of the finish of these camper vans when we first built them and the quality remains. Unique to these models were the overhead storage cupboards fitted to the rear of the cabin that also house the removable table.
This Kombi carries 4 comfortably, up front the driver and passenger seats have 3 point seatbelts, the rear seat is fitted with lap belts. We can install further 3 point seat belts if required. Raising the pop-top and unfolding the included bed boards, turns it into a 4 berth camper – 2 up, 2 down. There’s a 3/4 width bed for the lower cabin combined with multiple storage options, including a rear cupboard. Flipping the buddy seat open enables 4 to sit within the cabin around the removable table.
The Vanwurks units contain independent twin gas hobs and a sink with electrically pumped cold water as well as a built-in fridge. There’s even 2 dedicated tea towel rails!
The camper has plenty of carrying ability using the classic style cab roof rack, then inside within the buddy box, under the rear seat, within the furniture units and in the boot. You could increase this Kombi’s carrying capability by attaching a box trailer to the fitted tow bar or maybe a bike carrier.
Its modern water-cooled engine ensures reliability and low running costs. The 80bhp 1.4 motor can return upwards of 35mpg.
